Hello!
I’m Zaara, a medical student-designer, passionate about the integration of design in health. I hope to transform healthcare into a more sustainable and equitable system via design.
Currently, I’m a fourth year at Dell Medical School applying to Internal Medicine for my residency training.
I am not both a future physician and a designer, but a future physician-designer.
I put patients at the center of all that I do, and I use the principle of co-design to find informed solutions that truly meet the needs of those I serve.
I do not live in the black and white facade of my institution, but use Design to reveal the gray- the forgotten, the ugly, the uncomfortable.
I hope that together we will design a world where there is no question that health is a basic right and where design and health finally exist as one.
